I live in southeastern kansas and am considering buying a 99 Grizzly, but have issues about it overheating. Does anyone know of how easy they would overheat in around 100 degree weather, since they are air-cooled. I would be doing mostly trail riding, however some work also. Any help is appreciated.

 

I have a 99 grizzly and have never had it overheat. I've ridden in all types of temprature extremes. The polaris forum seems to know more about the grizzly and it's overheating problems.

 

I hear they run hotter than most bikes but I do not think they over heat to the point of engine damage and you never hear of engine failure.A piston the size of a paint can will produce lots of heat.

 

I have never had mine overheat except during the Suicide Ride. But even the liquid cooled motors of Polaris, overheated there. Plus to keep the heat down there are a few things you can try to cool the motor and the rider GREATLY. So go with the Griz. The powerhouse!!!!

 

Don't get a grizzly they are nothing but garbage, i have 700km on mine and you couldn't give me another one!!!

 

Apparently this dude must of been drinking something because, a Grizzly being garbage. NO WAY!!!!
