Mikey dunlap at FST makes a 450 and used to make a 500 kit. Powroll also makes a kit or two but. The powroll ones didnt seem to offer much bang for the buck though and I dont know if Mickey offers any complete kits or if he just strokes the crank. If I had to pick though id prolly pick FST.

In the last few years its almost a pointless effort to put a big bore kit on a 300ex or a warior because for the extra cash its going to cost you could sell your quad and upgrade to a big more powerfull engine. 5 to 10 years ago this was not the case. I installed a 406 kit in my 300ex back in 1997 then honda came out with the 400ex in 1999. Its your call.

I'm with WISTECH I'm sure alot of the warrior guys don't want to hear this, but... for the difference in money in the engine and what it would cost to just trade in and upgrade to a Rappy you are going to get a much larger gain. There are alot of built warriors around that were "fast" for their day, but in the days of the Rappy they just fall short on power (thats not to say there not good bikes). Most of the guys that built these quads had no Raptor to turn to.... or for that mater even the new 450 now!
If you want more power and you want more bang for the buck then I would just upgrade to a new quad!
Unless you are wanting minimal gains you could just have it bored locally do the work yourself and change piston and cam, but without the head work and some other godies then I don't think it would be worth it.

Well Yeah but for some people cant afford all that expense at once. Plus if youve already got a warrior thats in good condition it makes it more interesting with a warrior that can run with or outrun a stock raptor. The Warrior is a great bike and has potential in the handling area and in dirtwheeles where they did the write up on the FST 450 warrior the pros said it definetly wasnt a waste of money and dirtwheeles said it was the best cornering yamaha they have tested with the suspension mods. Yeah the yfz may corner better but thats $7K. If you want help in with power for a Warrior, the best thing you can do is call Mickey Dunlap at Four Stroke Tech. He knows alot about how to make your warrior scream. No I personally dont think its a waste of money. It seems that thats everyones answer now when the question comes up...."How to get more power out of my bike??" is to get the new 450 or a Raptor. Well all that is fine and good but the man didnt ask "should I get a Raptor or YFZ 450?". I mean Im not getting on you guys for suggesting and its not my place to get on you anyway, but that but that just seems to be all you hear anymore you know what I mean. Im just bringing up the other side of it. Not everyone has $7K to just dish out and would maybe rather pump up what they've already got. I will tell you that you can make a Warrior run pretty impressive.

That a good one ,just upgrade to more power cheaply. What do you mean cheap $50.00 . It would be a chalenge getting 30 horse out of a warrior without some major engine work, (big valves, huge cam, springs, big bore, carb, exhaust, stroker kit,) I dont see cheap anywhere in these items. And even if you do the chassis will still need big bucks to make the suspension handle all that power. Not to mention all the time involved. All this just to try and keep up with the bone stock 400exs and z400s which are the slowest of the 400cc and up quads. Like I said before in the 90s this was a viable option but not anymore. Its your call .

FWT claims 30 hp from their engine kit. Its a cam, piston, porting, and all the trimmings. I have that kit but with a more aggresive cam, didnt get to ride it much before my oil pump went out though. The little riding I did do showed a good bit of top end but the bottom end felt like a two strokes. It wasnt jetted right though, I was still working on that. Hopefully it will be up and running again this weekend though.
