I have a 85 250r and it seems really fast compared to the other bikes I have ridden,but I was wondering how it would compare to the trx250r that every body seems to compare ther atv's too. Does it have the same engine or are they two totally different bikes? Any info would be appreciated

 

I believe the 85 and 86 ATC 250R's used the same engine as the TRX 250R with a little different gearing. I would think that the the trike would be a bit faster do to the wieght difference.

 

I have an 86 atc250r and can beat most 250 2 stroke dirtbikes, and have never had a quad touch me out of the hole and top end, she is pretty much stock 2. (havent raced any nitrous quadzillas or things like that though)
