Default Am I crazy? Trade Raptor for a dual-sport?

Here is my situation. I have an 02 Raptor LE and I'm considering trading it for a dual sport bike. The reason I'm looking to get another ( I had a KTM LC4 640 AdventureR) is because my drive to work consists of driving 10 miles of dirt road then 3 miles of hard surface road. I can't "LEGALLY" ride the rappy to work and park it out front of the Central Office (Verizon) So am I crazy? What models should I be looking at? I know I don't want anything smaller then a 400cc but I really didn't care for the extra weight of the KTM with that HUGE gas tank. Thanks for the help guys!

I traded a XRL650 for my Raptor:-) That thing has some serious gonads but was way too heavy for trail riding and jumping. I liked it a lot on fire roads and power lines but anything tighter and it was a pig.

Yeah I'm thinking along the line of a DRZ400 with the electric start. It would be more of a "dirtbike" then anything around these parts.

I wouldn't mind another KTM but I don't want to have the hassle of trying to get it to pass Virginia law to make it approved for the street. I also don't want to shell out any $$$$ I'm thinking an even swap would be great for someone considering I see those Suzuki DRZ400 bikes for Less then $4000.

A Yamaha WR 400+ or a Husaberg 401 or 501 FE. The Husabergs had a option for an electic start and are excellent dirt/trail bikes, Light for a four stroke and a great suspension.

I had a DRZ before I got the Raptor, If I was to get another bike like that, it would be the DRZ again. It was a great bike.

Yeah I think I'm going crazy too. I've had a couple of interesting emails. One person has an 03 KTM 625 SXC that is street legal and he is interested. That seems to be the best one so far. Guess we will see considering he is in Chicago and I'm in Virginia
