which of these tires would you suggest for your DS?

i think im gonna buy a new DS baja
and i plan on buying an extra set of rear tires/rims for it (probably studding the stock tires for the ice up at the lake)
so what would you reccomend?
(this will be a tire i will have to use for all season (when im not on the ice in winter, it will be for snow as well)
im thinking the
spider tracs
sur tracs (i have these on now, and they seem to wear slow, and have pretty good traction)
pure sport realator tires (i like how the design is almost like a paddle, which would be good for snow/mud and the sand i ride in [at the badlands])
those are all ive considered so far
let me know what you guys think about those options, and would you suggest anything else?
again, ill be riding basically EVERY terrain around....snow,mud,rocks,packed dirt, sand, streams etc etc etc...)
thanks in advance for any help

Tyre, i have a friend who runs all traks, he loves them on everything and says they're the best all-around tire he's ever had. being so agressive they don't slide near as well as an MX tire but he can still carve a fairly decent berm. he went from sur traks (which he got from me) to the all traks and loves the improvement.
I'm just partial to MX syle tires because power slides and rear-steering are what I enjoy, and the advantages of the fun factor outweigh the disadvantages they have in nasty mud terrain where the more agressive tires shine. and with the extreme steep hills that I frequent I need slip to keep the front end down, and too much traction can be a bad thing sometimes. and MX tires definitely are tire of choice for hardpack. just different strokes for different folks, all the tires have there uses, just gotta figure out where and how you spend the most time and get the best tire for that.

Damn. I ride on hard-pack dirt with a slight coat of sand on top at some places. My buddies with 400EX's just give it some gas and their front end lifts right up without much spin. I'm on 2nd gear...give it hard gas (not too much, to avoid bog) and the front either lifts a little or not at all...and my back tires just break loose and spin out until I release... I'm using stock gearing wit 22 sur-traks...And i'm wondering if gearing down will only make it spin more than it already is....Hence making things worse....
Any opinions?

Well you will never get your front end to lift up with that gearing anyway. You need to gear down to at least a 15 tooth. I could never get mine to wheelie until I geared down. The All-traks are ok, but they are damn heavy. The holeshots get awesome traction on everything! Just ask Raptor03 about that. He had a set that were damn near bald and he was staying up there with us at Dumont on the sand all day long. And you definatley won't get them to break loose on the pavement.

What do you guys think about swapping tires twice a year (before and after winter) on the same rims....
I could go out and buy a set of holeshots for the summer...and then switch back to the SurTraks for the snow . Will this damage the tires?
I can't afford rims unless I got them dirt cheap...
And, I hear the Holeshots don't last at all.....Has anyone tried bandits?
Thanks

oh dude, bandits are super durable, and a big favorite to the desert guys, but traction in the woods sucks big time with those. they clog too easy, and they're really hard rubber.
swapping twice a year can get expensive unless you do it yourself. by the time you buy the beadbreaker and tire irons, you could have those news tires come in a package deal on .190 for not much more. just save a litle longer and get the package, and live with well-enough in the meantime.
