hate to say it but it may not be to much fun for a lot of you guys, the ones i raced had a much better tire set up than me and in the short race they would pop out of the hole insanely fast, and pull hard, i was having to chase them down. all i can say is they are fast. the guy was something else he didn't wait for a go that was for sure but then again he had taken months of poundings on the v-force, so he was a little jumpie. well enjoy watching those things they are worth the watch.

 

you got that pumper set up? I don't remember. it'll give your hollshot an edge guaranteed.

ohh great.. i dont look forward to the grin on the first dudes face that smokes my 650 with his 400something...............I am tickled that Yamaha is stepping up the sport quad industry.. the biggest step since the DS650 was introduced.. and look how many big bores followed.(Raptor, Predator, VForce) ..Now lets sit back and see What HIGH PERFORMANCE 440's come out next.. im already setting a little piggy bank aside. i still plan on building my own from aftermarket parts.. like Laegar etc... but if there coming out this cherry from the manufacturer.. my plans may change.............hehe..

They are very fast. Just drag raced my buddy's on pavement. He has it jetted baffle out and lid removed, I have Stage 1 Hotcam, 11-1 Piston, Jetted and piped. We traded wins. Who ever got out first stayed there. I have beaten a piped DS and a Piped Predator pretty easily! These quads are very fast! With no more added than a 3 dollar jet this will beat any stock quad hands down! We also did GPS Mine went 77.9 his was 76.9 and I have 22" tires he had 20's! The race video will be posted shortly. The starts were terrible just couldn't keep the front down on pavement.

Man, that is impressive. I wish I had the money to buy one, but I will stick with the Raptor, but if I was getting a new bike, I am pretty sure the YFZ 450 would be it.

 

the new yammi 450 is quick. I raced one while up at the oregon dunes earlier this month and we were close but i was always 1-2 quadlengths ahead. They will be a bike to contend with. They are fast but i would not own one because i sat on one. It felt even smaller than a raptor and i felt small on a raptor. Guess i will just have to add some more go fast goodies to my DS, lol. Why the hell would Yamaha make a new 450cc quad that is faster than its best selling 660 Raptor? Sounds like Raptor suicide. If this bike will beat a stock DS-- God help us!
