Default 400ex or z400

I'm wondering which atv would be best for me. I'm 5'8''/16yrs/ 140lbs. My only concern with the 400ex is that it doesnt have reverse and I mostly ride trails so I'm worried about gettin stuck. Is reverse needed when it comes to riding tight trails?

Both are great machines. And yes if you are on tight trails you will wish you had reverse. Listen up......you MUST drive both machines before you buy. They each have thier own unique feel. The Z400 has very high compression which means it will be jerky at low speeds, but will be great for faster riding and it does handle great plus it has reverse. At your size, either machine will fit you well, but you need to drive both to see which one feels right to you.

I agree 100% with brewster drive both there very close powerwise but the z has reverse. Honda has a better frame. Looks and reverse made my final decision to get the z.

i find the honda to be a more reliable machine. i think that not having a revers can be an advantage, and a disadvantage. since you don't have a reverse you have 2 choices. u can either learn to ride better, and not get stuck. or you can hit the weights, cuz ur gonna be pushin and pullin that thing around. i would suggest the honda. but make sure u ride both of them first

if you don't mind pushing something around then get a 400ex but if you don't then a Z-400 but they r both very good quads but my final answer is a Z-400
