i just ordered it a few hours ago
my total was 5900 after all fees, and the shippin charge to my state (dealership is in ohio)
cuz my local dealers wanted 6600 PLUS taxes (no taxes when pruchased out of state )
now i just need to know what to do for break in
its coming on crate (but is showroom prepped)
but i do have to put rear tires on (he said they are inflated and everythign)
now how to go about breaking it in....
it also suggest 93 octane correct? my freind bought a used ds650, and runs it on 87 with no problems
when he did try 93 octane, he said it takes like 5 minutes to start the thing...
should i ALWAYS run it on 93?

run the better fuel, just check all the fluids, i think it will have a owner manual under the seat, read it real good then take it easy for the first hour and then start the breakin. hey have fun and enjoy.

thanks guys im really stoked
i too thought easy break in was best
but i just read an article about how HARD break in (full throttle applications) is best for seating the rings
they said on their race croth-rockets its proven to have longer engine life, and a 10-15% over all power gain then the "eas" break in method...
the hard break in is how my freinds broke in their new yfz 450 as well
so i think im going to go that route... *wish me luck*
lol thanks jeff im now "one of the gang" right? PLEASE? *cries*
ill let u guys know how first ride is (im used to riding 250 cc and 350 cc with minor engine mods, so 650 should be another world)

i know how ya feel man, i used to have a 84' suzuki lt185 it had no back suspension and like 3" of travel, going to the ds was a huge jump but i've never looked back since, well except the whole reverse thing, but o well, i rarely ever miss it,

Silly beavers...
A wise man once said : Why would you want to go back, you've already been there? or You won't win any races going backwards..
Something like that anyway...
