The trailboss is by no means a speed machine. It is VERY reliable. We have had ours sit down in storage for a month at a time. It starts right up every time. I suppose if you lowered the gearing, piped and jetted it. It would probably be a quick little machine. But Mama wouldn't appreciate us doing that to her machine, so we won't be doing that.
The trailboss does surprise people. It goes places the heavier sportsmans we have go. I think it's a real good starter quad, and you can usually find them pretty cheap. There were a couple on Ebay the other day.

For reliability go with the boss im sure the yamaha is reliable but on thoes cold days I would rather have eletric start over kick. As for speed the blaster will be faster cause its a light 2 stroke with a 6 speed. but then again my 250 boss walks on stock banshees in a drag but im moded and were really talking 200cc blaster 2stroke vs 330cc boss 4stroke.
