Sup all, a few buddies of mine are going to Pismo (OCEANO DUNES) Aug 1st. do you have to make a reservation I remember someone said something about Reserveamerica.com has any one ever used it? Two campsites to chose from, Oceano Dunes SVRA & Campsite. I’m going to chose SVRA eight? I thought you could just show up…some input please?[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]

 

Im pretty sure you only need reservations on the real big weekends. Ive never needed them on a regular weekend.

 

You better get reservations. They have been selling out the weekends this summer. Not
just Holidays. If you want a campground. Your probably already out of luck.

 

if you call now you might have a chance. Portugees weekend is coming soon so they will start packing the beach.

 

All the other campgrounds in the state require only a 2-day lead time to make a reservation. Pismo requires something like 2-weeks!! Better hurry!!

 

We'll be there the 6-10th - big group. Reservations already made! I strongly suggest them. I have heard stories of people going and not being able to get on the beach to camp.

Man, we accidentally hit that Portugees Weekend last year. . . wholy crap the place was packed! I hope it isn't the weekend of the 9-10 this year!

Reserveamerica.com is the correct sight and you want the SVRA if you want to camp on the beach in the riding area. . . and I agree, I think reservations need to be made at least two-weeks (or something like that) before the trip. They won't let you reserve anything for a date earlier than that.

 

Yes, Pismo REQUIRES at Least 10 days before your date of arrival. Believe me, I was there just 2 weeks ago and it was almost full and not a holiday at all. Its just getting packed with all the new atv'rs that are being sold is from what I heard. Have fun, I am going this weekend.

 

DuneMe, Portuguese Celebration weekend is August 16-17. I know I will be there!
