I have to disagree with ZBlaster , The pred is alot better than the hype. My opinion Is 2 stroke get the Shee..
as for 4 stroke it would be a hard choice. you will have to test drive them to see what you feel better with.

Dude I dont know what you have been smoking. The Preditor is the quad to beat on the mx track right now. NOT the shee. I used to ride a shee for 8 yrs. Yes it is a very quick and torquey but old technology. The preditor and rappy are side by side when it comes to performance but the handeling from the preditor is by far the best on the market. It all depends on the rider and how they hook up to see what wins between the rappy and preditor. I have seen both beat each other but not by much. That is alot to say for a 500cc Polaris against a BIG 660 Yammi. There is nothing else stock to compete against the rappy and preditor. You are coming off of a blaster and probabley have not rode a Preditor enough (if at all) to really get the true feel of it.

I think it would mostly depend on what you plan on doing with it and how much you plan on spending on it. Overall best would be the Predator. Not saying this cuz I have one cuz I have a 265R as well but saying this cuz I also ride a Raptor and Banshee on occasion so I know the diff.

Look into the DS650 too. It is a GREAT quad with gobbs of power and torque. It is however a BIG quad and geared more towards dunes and bigger people. The Predator is also a great quad. Probably one of the best on the MX track. For what you pay for the YFZ450, you can get the Pred, add front rezzies, the WB slipon and be good to go.

Loads of broken frames and trannies???????? What are you talkin about? Ive only heard of a few cracked frames, and those were from MX racers who have put A LOT of abuse on there machines. And the bent shift forks in the trannies only happened to a few people that were speed shifting, which shouldn't be done anyway. We have yet to see how the YFZ holds up on the track in the long run, and after a bent a-arm on a BRAND NEW machine, it looks skeptical. I might also add, that Polaris replaced the frames and trannies, don't count on that from Yamaha. Do the 01 Raptors ring a bell? $1000 for new gears that Yamaha wouldn't cover even after they new they had a problem. Im not nocking the YFZ, but don't come on here and try and act like you have the most bad azz machine out there. It has still yet to prove itself in reliability in the long run. Only time will tell
