Wondering about carbs. What kind or how modified for Alky. Can you use stock carb? Any info will help.

 

I have seen a few Raptors on alky. Most were on stock carbs, too. I know Ward660R is. On stock carbs, someone on here posted that all you have to do is:
Take off the main jets completely.

Drill out the pilot jets to 125 thousandths.

And run Dynojet needles on the 4th clip.

Sounds fairly easy, I just don't know if I want to hassle with flushing it out, etc.

I'm sorry but I can not beleive that you can drill that pilot out to 1/8". It just looks too small.

I am sure we read it at the same place. He also said it was just real tight. Just one of those things I would have to see. I saw his bike running so I guess its right, but....

My set-up is drilled here and there[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img] with no mains.

 

Any more reports on what sizes to drill what to run alky or is this a good starting point? I mean what Wallstreet said.
