wheelies bad?

Im havin problems popping wheelies on my Honda 250EX. I mean I sit there on my 4wheeler, revving it up in neutral looking like a goon as Im ready for the front end to come up. Then I send it into 1st and the front barely pops up and i cant get to it stay up. I look like an idiot at parties becuase my friends tell me to ride wheelies when I leave, I try and make myself look like an idiot at the process since I dont know how to ride one. I would rather know how to ride a wheelie while moving, because I dont know how. And Id rather not put my feet on my wheelie bar becuase I look even more like a goon becuase Im gassing it and pullin it up at the same time but its not lettin me ride a wheelie. So Id jus like to know how to ride a nice wheelie on my Honda 250EX so my friends will think im a better rider. Someone reply to this when you can. Thanx

I think they will really think you are a goon when your tranny explodes from revving it up and popping it into gear. Why are you trying to impress anyone one a 250ex. If you must do wheelies give it a little gas from a dead stop in gear and let it roll for a foot or two then lean forward while it is slowing down to let the front end compress . Then lean back and hit the throttle it should come up. Just be carefull.

Well thanks, Ill try that. Now my problem is the atv connection chat. Just lastnight I was asking people questions about their atv's. They got annoyed over it and started makin fun of me and calling me names. So as myself, I wasnt going to let them make fun of me, so I talked back to them and I was the one that got kicked out and now im banned for I dont know how long? In my opinion, I think that it is bullcrap. Now for some reason my dad cant even get into the chat in his account. But anyway, I have made myself 2 choices. They are to either trade my 250ex in for a 300ex or 400ex in the next couple years, or else start getting new stuff for my 4wheeler in the next couple months, such as a white bros pipe, nerf bars, etc.? Help me out on this one.

These bikes are made to be ridden hard. If you have things on your mind like damaging your suspension from wheelieing then you're definitely minimizing the fun level. Just go ride as hard as you want and keep up with your maintenance so your bike always feels tight and it's a joy to ride. If it breaks, fix it. don't worry about hurting it, beat it if your want to.

my lil bro has a 250EX and i must admit, it is a pain to wheelie on. i wheelie with my foot on the grab bar so that i can see where i'm going. it's also the easiest way to learn. don't do ne of that "rev it up and drop the clutch" crap. simply roll slowly in first gear, lean back and yank the handlebars, and give it gas. practice a lil more and u will be able to control it. good luck.

for a 250ex wheelie do wat cro said.. Put it in first put your right foot on the grab bar. and hammer it and pull up at the same time and i should wheelie and if u still cant get it try it going up a small hill. i use that method on my friends Recon and i can ride it for about 100 ft or so.an going up a hill i can go about 300ft. and still improving..
