Has anybody had any problems with burning up the belt on the Scrambler 500 running slow over deadfall? I know you are supposed to put the SP in low range when log hopping or hill climbing.

I have never had that problem and have been there done that.
I think the scrambler has enough low end grunt even though it has no low range to traverse this type of terrian (Unless you weigh 600 or 700 pounds) I would say it is a misalined clutch or something. Or maybe I am wrong and you are in more severe terrian than I have ever been in
either way I hope it is nothin to serious.

Have a good one

I have ridden very slow over extremely rough terrain and never had a problem with my belt ( knock on wood).

I have'nt had any belt problems yet, I just did not want any, when in guestion I always put the SP in low range when driving over that type of terrain. My wife rides the Scrambler and she takes her time when riding over deadfall which is fine with me until she gains more experience. But that was my concern about belt. thanks for the responce guys.

I have burned up 3 belts crawling up hills or pulling people out of mudholes. Try the belt for the ranger it is tougher than the others I have tried. I have smoked the ranger belt worse than any of the other 3 and I checked it out and saw no damage at all. The others started loosing the outer layer and slapping the cover. I am sold on this belt, HPD also sell this belt as their HP belt.
