I'm planning to buy a raptor, my question is, I read someone that a few changes were made to them, but I can't remember what year it was, anyone know? I dont want to buy a brand new one, but I don't want to get one that is going to have problems that have already been corrected in later years.. any help is appreciated! Thank you

2002 and up should be just fine. 2001's had some tranny problems.

 

The 01's are good too. Most of the 01's that were going to break have already done so. I like not having a reverse limiter.

The 01's have had some tranny problems but if you buy one that has been through some pretty rough riding, it probably would have already cratered if it was going to. The only advantages to an 01 would be price (because of age) and a little faster 1st gear ratio. However, if your worried about the tranny, get an 02 or 03. If you look hard, you can find some real deals out there.
