Whats so great about the 250r? Im not trying put it down or anything of that nature. I just dont quite understand what aspects of it make it the bike to have. What are some of the things kept stock on the bike when they are raced?

No Ive never ridden one. Thats probably why I dont know much about them.

In this day and age of big bore sport bikes, factory race bikes etc etc, what is so great bout a 250r [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

R's were awesome when they came out. Great bikes to mx on. They handled, jumped, and turned better then any machine at the time they came out. With the right mods and suspension they still are great bikes to ride. ALot of pro class racers still ride the R. Thats a great complement to a bike that is 20years old. The R is one of the top 3 best 2stroke bikes of all time.

Y would they quite making them since it was such a good quad? I could see if it was because of it being two stroke but yamaha kept making banshees and still do. So what gives?

to many kids buying them and gettin hurt and then they lawsuits came.. same reasons suzuki quit makin the 500 and 250. not sure why yamaha could keep theres.. who knows they did sumthin to thers i think ti make it legal.. idk

 

I'm not sure why they quit making them, but I was very dissapointed when they did. I owned a 250r from 93-95. Sold it to a friend. My Ds is the first 4 wheeler I have owned since 95.

I dont know if that top 4 list is correct. The shee is in the top 3. Your going to get some mad people with that list.

 

Kawasaki Tucati's are pretty sick too.
