has anyone tried the wiseco high compression piston on a standard bore thinking about putting one in mine but dont know anyone thats done it does it give you any more low down punch or will i just notice more on my credit card than my throttle

I have the wiseco right now. But I plan on changing it out to a Vertex as I was told by the mechanic at my local cycle center that the wiseco being a forged piston will expand and shrink when run real hard. The Vertex is a cast piston and will hold up longer from what I've heard. I kissed the extended warranty bye bye when I did that

John, it's your choice but if your going with a high compression piston use a forged one. The cast are fine for stock motors but are not as strong and tend to be heavier than the forged units.

Even with the standard bore high comression piston, HPD still recommends their cams which are not on their site yet! Can you run the piston and have a noticable difference enve without the cams?
