Can anyone give me a general idea on what I'd see from my Warrior with a K&N,Jets,and Holes in the lid? I've got 10.75 Comp Piston .450 Lift Cam and a FMF Mega Max II. Thanks

 

about a 2 percent increase

 

my setup is similar to yours. I didnt notice a huge gain or anything but it helped.

 

would there be a bigger differnence without the lid?

 

Less restrction cant hurt. If you ever need a lid though dont buy a proflow kit/K&N, my lid is impossible to put on now.

 

do not try taking the lid off a stock warrior air box u ruin motor. get a proflow, or go to ..Proflow kit, cheaper then the real just as good go to yhamaha parts then scrool down for warrior superflow about 1/2 way down. its only 80 with kn and like 65 with uni foam. lot better then 100 and if u ever need ur air box on. just get a outerare air box cover. from like nacs or somplace.. or take a jig saw and cut the part that hits

 

Taking the lid off on my modified warrior (look at my signature) wont hurt it with the proper jetting right? i plan to get a K&N and outerwear taking off the lid and rejetting. sound like i'll burn up?

 

wont burn it up but it will blow it up, u must get a Pro or Superflo kit. toehr wise ur filter is held in w/ your lid. these kits bolt on to your air box and r o-ring sealed.

 

Thanks for the info guys I'm thinking of making my own pro flow adapter so I dont have to pay for something I can make. Any suggestions?

 

Guess i can take the lid off and make my own adapter with no probs?
