I raced a ex (just pipe) with my kfx (all stock). he beat me i was getting through the gears good. does the pipe make a big difference or was i not getting throught the gears faster?????

 

The pipe does make a difference, but the Honda is quite a bit slower than the KFX. The pipe should help the EX but you should still be able to beat him. Sounds like you weren't getting through the gears quick enough.

 

how close of a race? and were you catching up with him? or did he fly?

 

it just seemed like he was flying past me. later we were just riding and i flew past him and he came right back and got me again.

 

Hmm...a lot of it depends on the rider, but I dunno...what kind of pipe did he have on his EX?

 

I've been beaten by an ex before and it was stock. The guy was a really good rider though and I've come back and beaten him recently but we still swap wins in a short drag. Top end I always pull slowly away and at our track I usually finish higher than him.

 

How much does a kfx 400 cost and how fast do they go? Cause I rode my buddys kfx 400 today and it was sweet and sounded awesome cause he had the baffle out of it.That thing would absolutely fly and it so easy to do a wheelie on.I loved it.Wish I had one[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]

 

Hey there fellow Kentuckian, you can get a suzuki z400 the same as a kfx400 or the kfx400 for an out the door price of around $5200. Maybe cheaper if there having a sale. I think suzuki is having a sell this month and you can get money off of helmets, gear, parts etc etc.... They are awesome bikes and I'm taking the baffle out of my pipe sometime next week so maybe I can sound as cool as his.
