I am stuck between buying a YFZ, a Raptor, or a Banshee...any suggestions would be extremely helpful. tell me all what you know please. Thanks.

 

I'm extremely happy w/ my yfz, the handling is awesome!!! The speed is awesome!!! I was going to get a raptor b4 the yfz came out, and I'm glad I waited.....but it depends on what kind of riding your going to do.

 

I used to be a two stroke fan then I bought a 400ex and loved the torque and the power all the way through the power-band. Then I bought the YFZ and it has eveyrthing that a two-stroke has and a fourstroke. It is incredible(with the peashooter out and the lid off). buy the YFZ dude! You will be totally happy , thats a promise.

 

If you like the punch of two stroke power, get the banshee, it is also great in the dunes if that is where you ride. If you want a wide power band with plenty of throttle response, I have the Raptor and love the power, it is a total rush. You can hang with anything out there on it. I have heard great write ups on the yammy 450 although was talking to a guy from ATV Racing and said he saw one of two YFz's racing last weekend crater a gearbox. I would let Yamaha work out a few kinks and get a second year if you can hold out that long. Great selection no matter which way you go.

 

2 Stroke = Trouble. As they wear, they require re-builds and constant attention.

YFZ = $8000 out the door. Enough said.

Raptor = Take the money you saved from not getting a YFZ, lower it for $60, pipe/jet/air filter, and you have the complete package.

 

if ur riding trails dont get the yfz. banshee is good 4 dunes. raptor is good for a lot of pretty much everything.

 

I like the size and and overall apperance of the raptor the best that's why I bought it over the YFZ. I could have bought the YFZ but I stuck with the Raptor.

 

Raptor has reverse, is a great all around bike

YFZ doesnt have Reverse, is a race bike, plain and simple. 8k out the door? that is high. They are mid 6's in Ms.

Banshee 2 stroke, maintenance machine, fast, king of the dunes (so I read). Tons of parts available

Yeah the YFZ is about 6800 I think thats what it was selling for at my dealer when I picked up my 04 raptor for 5700 [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] got it on sale and they only had it on the show floor for a day.

 

Ya thanks for all your guys' help. Two of my friends have 250R's, and one has a Banshee. So I need something that will beat them. More advice?
