Just wondering if anyone has raced the 450 against the Rap yet in the 300 ft or fun drag racing. If so, What was done to the Rap and or 450? Thanks y'all. later

could go either way depending on the rider and what not.

some people are so hopped up on the yfz that they think nothing can beat it...some people have sense enough to know that anything can be beat.

Click on my video button. This was me and my Buddy racing. Mine has Stage 1 Cam 11-1 Piston, his has the baffle removed and rejetted no lid. We traded wins we were just about dead even.

I know what wins climbing a steep dune (choke cherry) The run is probably 300ft long and it will leave the raptor unless the raptor has mods done to it. The only raptor that beat me had 11:1 piston, different cam, porting, yoshi pipe. The stock ones dont compare. Yes you can get a raptor to beat it but you'll have to have internal work done. My Yfz does have a sparks pipe and cam mod done. The raptor is a good machine its just the YFZ comes from the factory with better porting, better carb, Higher compression. This also limits what you can do to the YFZ. I tore mine down to have it ported and there is not much to do.

 

I'm betting you could buy a Raptor...and with the money you save compared to the YFZ, you could pipe/jet/air filter it, and beat a YFZ. Then you could lower it, and get some better handling to match the YFZ. Just my opinion.

 

Sorry but pipe, jet, and air filter will not beat a YFZ. It may on top end but not in acceleration.

 

I am not calling you a liar iluv2fly, but I really want to race a YFZ, shoot, when he beats me I can just twist open a bottle and flip a switch.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

Also, I really wish the Raptor came stock w/ FCR's and weighed 350 lbs.!!!
