Just wanted a little feedback on extending the stock swingarm as to how many inches and how's it holding up or if it's all together a bad idea and I should just look into replacing it with an aftermarket one.

 

I'm running a 4.5" JTM extension on mine. For general trail and dune riding I think a +2 would be better. Even with my 727's extra ponies, it is harder to pull the front end up now then when it was piped only with the stock length.

I have a +2 that a friend made for me and like it alot. I had it powder coated and it looks sweet and you can't really tell it extended.. Im not a drag racer more of a hill shooter trail rider but drag once in a while and it seems great for all those. I have not had it very long but the other one that was made held up to alot of abuse!!!!!!

Pat when you say "other one" was it also a 2" or more? let me give you an idea of my riding style I dont really like to tight trail ride so I dont do it too othen but I do like to hit jumps at the track and drag race.

 

Yes it was a +2 and he has beat it up pretty good. Jumping also but anything more then a +2 will hurt you at the track but help you everywhere else!

 

So you do you recomend to do the extension work?

 

Don't think my freind will do another but Blueleader on here know someone that does it also and does very quality work I also seen theres and its just as sweet!

Sure no problem I think you will like it. If I was just a drag racer I might run that +4 extension but I don't and the +2 is perfect for me and my riding style
