Does anyone use a straight clampon filter on a scrambler w/o an airbox?
I got a scrambler carb I'm going to use on a different quad but I want to know if anyone runs a clamp on filter without the airbox?
If so which filter do you get and where?

 

are you talking 400 or 500 scrambler????

I've got the K&N filtercharger that I'll occasionally run if its really dry and we're not riding around any water. I believe I got the filter and outerwear from Hotseat.

 

Do you run your filter inside the ir box or is it clamped directly to the carb?
Can you give me a link to the filter you have or email a pic or 2 to me?

I have run mine that way, but the area and conditions that I rode in were very dusty and sometimes wet, so the running without an airbox wasn't a good thing. Check out my pictures I now have the HPD airbox which is practically the same thing. The filter clamps straight on the carb and the airbox just sits around it.

 

Cqan you email me a pic of the old setup { if you have such a pic} and the pic you have in your profile? My computer won't let me full size the pic.
I'd also like to know where you got it or if you're interested in selling your clamp on filter you don't use anymore.
