Now let me say this first. idk what bike is faster in a drag race ! so if you want to jump up on a soap box and say your blaster is the best quad ever step down!
Pros for the yfz:
-Yam has been around for a long time
-can get parts any where
-does not need to be destroked like the 449cc GG
-everyone has one and i like to be diff
Pros for Gas gas 450:
-EFI no jetting
-stock with all the racing stuff i need but beadlocks
-I like the ugly looks
I like the small companys ( i have a cannondale) i dont want a a company that will go under in a few years. I want to keep the cost of the bike down. I know the gasgas will be cheaper in the long run of just buyn the parts to get me up and racing again. I would run my cannondale but i dont want to lose the motor so i gave it to my mom for glamis. I want to know if they had the control problems taken care of? any help would be great!

i know it seems like Gas Gas is new to the market, they are new to quads, but they aren't going away... as a C-dale owner you know that the quads were the light at the end of the tunnel, the tunnel just caved in before they made it out. Gas gas has been building bikes for 25+ years... successfully.
where you race, is the class restriction on the 440cc limit that bad? the other option along that line with the gas gas is ordering the 400... they will be available by special order... or so i understand.
supporting the underdog is something i also hold near & dear. buying the gas gas not only supports the underdog, but will help push aftermarket to build parts for them as well.... the more GG units that sell, the more they will be a force to be reconned with on the tracks & the more Gas gas will grow as a company here in the US.... thus more dealers will appear & it increases the odds that Gas Gas will stay in the ATV market. (if they make money at it, why wouldn't they stick around?)
while aftermarket support will obviously never reach the level that any of the jap sport quads' support will... in order to race at the same level- they have to mod, the Gas Gas owner doesn't... for the most part.
.... but we're quad guys, we'll mod anything to make it better.
