I have a Rancher ES 2wd. Top speed is 52 on a packed limestone road. I weigh 170. The the last few miles per hour took a long time to get there.

Well weighing in at over 200, my Rancher hit 50mph before letting off of the throttle, ran out of hardpack. It took a while to wind up to 50.

Got mine up to 50 on hardpack. I'm a lightweight, around 140, so weight really doesn't appear to effect top end too much.

Note: As the other posts state, top speed does take several yards of real estate to get to. I was able to hit 40 MPH quickly. But from 43+, speed increased slowly. I too ran out of road at 50. But for a utility ATV, that's plenty fast for me

You are right about the acceleration. The quad accelerates very well up to 43-44 mph, however after that it takes a while to get up to 50.

The only time we get over 40 mph is riding on logging road. There is no way to get above 25 on the trails we ride on.

I got mine up to 51 down hill but it sure takes a while to get from 40 to 50. Once you get up to 40 to 43 you can keep it there by letting the throttle off to half or less.

Has anyone maxed their machine out? I mean hit the rev limiter in 5th gear?
