MODS MODS MODS

First of all, the pepper bustin' a move is a giggle. Your quad, being a 98, I'd bore it, get a Wiseco piston in there, and at least get some trail porting. Get a higher compression dome from HPD (their's seals w/ an o-ring for better heat transfer) That Dynoport pipe, and DG silencer....aren't the best, but for a trail mod, they might be o.k.. Ixnay the oil injection, run 40:1 pre-mix w/ plain old Polaris blue oil. Make sure your front bumper and floorboards are aluminum (magnet test). You can get aluminum units cheap from your dealer...the 4x4 models (newer ones) had them. Open up your airbox internals, RCR has a snorkle kit that lets gobs more air in. V-force reeds...if you get the porting and piston. These are just a few.

And to add to Ken's post, when you port the motor, you can go up a tooth on the front sprocket or down a couple on the back and gain some top speed. Without being ported changing the gearing probably wont help you much if at all. When you start thinking about porting which sounds like the next step with some more compression, the stock piston will have to come out for sure. They are time bombs already. I like the pepper too Bubba
