Paco, I wish you would've asked before you purchased the cool head. With the stock motor, your best bang for the buck would've been a clutch kit and a pipe. Remember when you do purchase them...if you do, make sure to get them from the same company. There are a few reputable Polaris shops. HPD (HPD-inc.com), Hot Seat (Hotseatperformance.com), RCR (Ritter Cycle Racing, 618-644-3211), or Aaen performance (aaenperformance.com). HPD leads the horsepower wars. Hot Seat has some respectable HP, but speacializes in suspension. RCR has great deals on trail packages. Aaen has a little of everything.

Getting back to your original question, I would go with the higher cc dome...lower compression. You should really get a Wiseco piston in there....the stock piston is o.k. for stock, but doesn't like mods.

Thank you very much, you are the lone person to help me out. i got one because i screwed up the threading on my stock cylinder head. Hand tightend the spark plug then it eventually worked its self out and stripped the last 4 or so threads from the force of the compression. So i figured i would go a head and get a better than oem head. the one i got was the cheapest one i could find, almost the same price ase an oem part from parts land. I've had my eye on that 400 scrambler speed kit at hotseatperfomance for awhile. But i need to save a bit more before i go droppin 500 dollars on things.
