Mojave Clamp-on Filter
#1
How much protection does a clamp-on filter give you (with an Outerwear)?? I do mainly trail riding and race local hare scrambles, but I'm concerned about the amout of protection a clamp-on will provide. It will definitely get exposed to water and mud. I'm just not sure if this is the best modification for my application.
Also, I cut my snorkle down to fit my smoothy hood, but I heard of another person doing this and the additional air caused him to re-jet?? I already re-jetted for my IDS2 exhaust, but I'm wondering if I need to bump up another jet size due to the less restrictive air inlet opening?? Has anyone else done the same modification to their snorkle??
Thanks!!

the clamp-on filter will really wake up the mojave, but like you said it offers little protection. if you run in alot of water I don't think it's a good ideal. as for the snorkle, I can't help you there. my air box all left at one time for a clamp-on.
