Well, I know it can beat a Blaster, 250EX, Mojave, and 300EX. Those are about it. My brother has one that's a 2002 2x4 and it can't even beat my stock Warrior even if we switch bikes. Sorry to say it. But now they make them only in 4x4 so they're even heavier.

Take 'em through the mud and you'll be able to smoke just about all of 'em.....just don't pick on the utes in the mud!

That's true too. Scrambler's are incredible in the mud. But if you think about it, they're not a true sport quad by definition. Maybe you should be asking what utility quads you will be able to smoke.

I know. About the only thing you can really compare it to is the Wolverine. And TB400, all of that is true besides the Warrior and 400EX. Is the Sportsman 700 really a "V" twin? I thought it had that parallel design. Oh well.

The 600 and 700 are in-line or parallel twins.

Also, the Scrambler 500 4x4 would have a tough time with a properly set up Xplorer 400 4x4. If I were looking for a Scrammy (and I did before I bought the Xplorer) I'd look at a used 400 (2002 X especially). Gotta love that 2-stroke!

My mother has a 2wd scrambler and I promise you it wont hang with a 400ex, so take #6 off the list for sure. That's ridiculous. We put paddles on the scram but it will only go 1/4 up sand mountain, then get stuck. Sport quads go all the way to the top doing about 30mph. The scram is no sport quad. How can you race one if it doesn't make it to the finish.
