well i would say clean the motor before you take it apart so nothing falls in and just keep your parts orginized and remember how they go back together!

Yes, clean clean clean!!!. It is VERY important to to keep everything CLEAN and organized. Also, have your service manual at hand. Just curious, why do you need to remove the head????
