what is the top speed of the Scrambler?

Are all Scramblers 4x4 and automatic? Including older models?

How reliable are they?

Some older models were 2x4, but all new ones are 4WD the 500 Scambler 4WD will due 62.

Very reliable. Very capable.

 

mine will do 75 and 80 on a good day. on gps anyway.

 

You might want to check that GPS unit....80mph on a basically stock Scrammy?

I've had mine up to 55.7 (TrailTech speedo) and it was still pulling but I ran out of room......and I don't think I would ever hit 80mph...

Maybe strip off everything other than the gas tank and footpegs, get a good tail wind and a really steep downhill run....

Everywhere I've read is somewhere around 62-65mph

Stock is around 62-63. Piped and clutched around 65 or so

 

hmm if the scramblers do that good then how do u think my friend will do up against me on my 300ex his scrambler has jets,full fmf pipe,airfilter and a clutch kit and i think thats about it.

 

Is his the 400??? Cuz FMF doesn't make a FULL exhaust for the 500 scram, just a silencer. They do have an Full exhaust for the 400 thought. Either way, a 400 or 500 scrambler STOCK should easily take a 300 EX, unless there is something wrong with the machine or rider

 

his is a 400 it used to be his dads until he bought the raptor . my friend doesent have full experience on the quad . i know this dosent make much of a difference about anything but i have been riding dirtbikes for about 4 years .i know my quad isnt near being the fastest quad out there but it has full yoshi pipe,k&n air filter,jets,thats about it for performence please reply .thanks

 

The scram should easily take you still. With the auto trans, it makes it hard to screw up drag racing. The 400's are FAST. He should top out around 67 or so
