Well i've been thinking lately about gettin a second quad, since the one now is only half mine, other half is bros, which seemed like a good idea at the time but now alot of his buddies have quad n there gunna make some quad trips, i could go too but would need another quad, and i was just lookin at the autotrader, n theres a 2000 DS, it has nerfs, bomb shock covers, renthal bars, looks like stock back tires n rims off a baja, n it says somethin about run wood modification kit, so i think it has a stage 1? pict, the dealer is askin $5900CA, does this sound like a good deal to you?

 

how much is that in usd?

 

It doesn't sound like a great deal to me, as my '02 Baja is going up for sale for 7500.00. Shop around or make the five hours drive and come up here and buy mine [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

if the exchange is say 65% that would be $3835 US. that is a decint buy I bought my 2000 for $4200 US two christmas's ago, with no mods. if it looks good rides good I would concider it. hope this helps[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

That is definatly a Ron Woods exhaust, so if it had the Stage 1, it will have the 45mm Mikuni carb,and CDI. So basically you get a DS with the best PIPE,CARB,AND CDI sold for the DS, for 3850. THATS A GREAT DEAL!! just go ride it, and you should know (since you own one) how the DS should feel, and if all is good?? COngrats on a great find!

Yeah I was about to say, that's def a Ron Wood pipe. But it doesn't necessarily mean it has the complete Stage 1 either. Give him a call and find out [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif[/img].

I paid 5500$ for mine in April. It had complete Stage 1 (Pipe, CDI, Carb, Intake Manifold, K&N in the box) and a set of Sur Traks. Still had stock rims and stock front tires though. The one on the pic seems to have Ohtsus if I'm not mistaken and Reinforced rims in the back. But it has dominators on the front.

NOW REMEMBER, THIS IS A DEALER...YOU CAN BARGAIN AND DEAL with them more than with a private seller. My dad came with me (he is a financial advisor/investment broker, and knows money hehe) and made the private seller take 500$ off my quad. They were asking 54595$ for our truck, and my dad made them go down to like 49000$...

So if your not good at bargaining, bring someone with you. Don't act as if you want the quad at all costs...because they can smell that...those stealers..eh Dealers.

i'd say that is in the right area, you know they have more than that in it with the stage one. as long as they changed the oil a few times it should all be good.

 

yea, for sure LOOK at the bike and see whats bolted on.... How much for the Baja next to it???? I would go for the baja..
