best slip-on pipe for '03 raptor?

I like the White Bros. slip on that I have. Matched it to a Pro Circuit head pipe and it woke up the reptile. Would have like to tried the full Yosh titanium system but couldnt justify spending the jack for that.

For a slip on I would go with the MBRP
You can add a head pipe later
Sound good without being loud
Good performance
Stainless Steel and look good
Never need repacking

If you don't have motor mods go with a slip on only, I have a white bros. love it!!. If you get the mods then go with a more top level full system-yoshi. I love the sound and the power I got with the white bros. Also while your doing this fix the air box, either clamp on or lid filter(EHS?) and jet kit then you can get everything right the first time and don't have to rejet each time you add another piece.

id like to relate to his question...what is a good silencer slip on, is it that quiet? and how much on average hp will it gain?

If I do a slip on and the air filter with holes in the lid, will i need to rejet? I have been working on improving the handling charachteristics and have not wanted to spen the money on motor mods or a full exhaust yet. I was hoping I could get a good slipon that I could add the pipes to at a later time when I do some engine mods.

You can put the header on later, but yes you will have to rejet. Its not that difficult, and not very expensive. I'm in the same boat as yourself though. I'm not too interested in hopping up the motor right now. I'm working on getting all my flat track stuff together for next season. If you are going to change your stock exhaust though, I think everyone is right. You don't need a "full" exhaust yet. You'll notice a good gain just from a slip on.

I have the White Brothers R4 slip-on with just my snorkel removed. I still have stock jets and it runs fine on the low and mid range, but it's lacking on the top end. So if you add a slip on and do any air box mods, you are going to have to re-jet or you are going to be taking away power instead of gaining.
