Default predator?

I am looking at predators but i have a few questions. How does the predator do on steep short hills(like ones coming ouut of creek beds)? Is it comfortable to sit on on long trail rides? Is the power smooth? I have read that it is fairly heavy, can u tell that when u ride it? Finally on trails how does it face Raptors? Thank You for your responses

EX, the Predator is a great all around machine. It's at home taking jumps, running through the woods, or hitting the sand. You can easily do a search and find many comments to back this up. For the price, there's nothing out there that can touch it.

Some people have talked about the front feeling heavy, it is better to describe it as planted. It is very confidence building when riding in conditions you are talking about.

Hey ex400rdr...my husband is on the same road. He is looking(and leaning towards) getting a new pred. Try predatorowners.com,
he pulled up a lot of information there. He has also asked a lot of questions on this forum...you can look them up under his screen name....USMCQuader.

My only advice...go for the Troy!

It does great on these. Better than some, I think because the front likes to stay down more, but you still need to use finess to keep it down.
Is it comfortable to sit on on long trail rides?
I didn't think it would be, myself, but was surprised to find out that, yes, it is quite comfortable. I've been on several day long rides on mine.
Is the power smooth?
Mostly. It's a little rough just starting out, but once your moving it seems smooth throughout the powerband. May only be rough to me because of poor technique, though.

It's not that much heavier than most other sport quads. What you will notice most is the effect of the "anti squat" rear end. This makes it feel as if the front is heavy even though it's not. It flies pretty well (even though I am only now learning to jump) and doesn't seem heavy in the air.
Finally on trails how does it face Raptors?
This one I can't answer. I've never ridden with a Raptor. My guess is that the Predator would have the advantage due to it's wider stance and lower CG. The Raptor would probably get the nod for having a little more power and a reverse gear.
