Those of you who ride the DS 650, have you ridden it much in tight woods trails yet? My concern was that it is too wide and weighty, so I was wondering how well it maneuvers as a woods/XC machine. That four-stroke engine should have some decent bottom end, and we already know about its top end, so if the maneuverability is there the DS should be a pretty decent woods racer. Again, possibly too wide, and the heavy feel may not work well.

Well I've had mine for roughly 3 weeks now. I've been able to dominate all the trails that I used to ride with my Mojave and Tecate. There have been a few I thought the DS wouldn't fit through, but it did with little trouble. Remember the DS isn't much wider (if at all) than that of a standard quad with +2 A-arms.

In conclusion, no problems here, and love every minute on my DS!
