ds 90 throttle limit
#1
I bought a scrambler 50 for my 6 yr old. my lawn mower was faster! Traded for a DS90. with just the throttle limiter screw turned so the top end is slow enough it will barely start rolling! Once it starts moving it seems like it keeps getting faster. Is there a way to limit the top end and still have the power to move.

You can install a larger rear sprocket. that will give it more power with lower speed. You can order any sprocket size from sprocket specialist. If you would like a 46 tooth for free I will send it to you. That was what I used till he got used to it. Now I use a 43 tooth that work pretty good. Send me your addess through PM if you want it. You will have to add links to the chain (I also extra of this) and adjust/bend the sprocket guard on bottom.

OK, I think the problem is that the RPM's needed to disengage the clutch translate into too high a ground speed.
If that is true then the bigger sprocket on the back will be a lower ground speed for the same RPM?
If that's true the YES! Musthavefn, please send me the sprocket.
Thanks for all the input.

Have it here waiting for an address. it is 47 tooth not the 46 I said. I got it free from Sprocket Specialists for for sending them one for a bolt pattern so they can sell to others.
