Default please help

I punctured the sidewall on my rear tire. Hit a rock.Car tires you can't patch a sidewall.Can I patch this and will it last?

u should be able to i did on my tailblazer. on the side wall of the left rear tire but it has a small leak. i have to fill it every 2 to 3 weeks

It is very unsafe (epecailly at high speeds) to use a tire with sidewall damage.

how is it unsafe ? iev done 55 w/ my tb and it didint wobble or any thing else and that was on pavement

I knew someone would come up with something. Just becuase it worked for you, doesn't mean it is safe or a good idea. I drove around as a youth with no seatbelt, or air bag, but that doesn't mean the guy next to me didn't die doing the same thing.

The question comes down to this. Is the 'possibilty' of injury (of varying levels) worth $50-$70?

no crap but i know 5 or 6 other peolpe who did it to and their fine and not a accedent. hell one of them has 15 plugs in each tire of her trailboss. but i do know that some thing could happen

I didn't take any chances when I got a hole in mine...replaced it right away

USMC is right on with this........I can only 'hope' when somebody is approaching me head on, that they haven't been such a cheap-a$$ as to not fix basic things like what holds them to the ground and keeps them traveling in a straight line........same goes for any vehicle I pass on the road.

Default please help

The NTSB has regulations against patching or plugging on or around the sidewall because it can cause belt separation. It is not worth the chance you take on a sidewall patch for only $70.00
