Default John Deere & Bombadier partners, why????

John Deere & Bombadier had become partners Jan. 3, 2003.., I ask why??? Why did J.D. choose Bomb. as a buisness partner, when we all know about the political turmoil between French Canada and the U.S. I used to be a fan of Bomb. until I snowmobiled in French Canada last year. I am not making a generalization, if you have ever been in Quebec, you know what I am talking about. Literally 90% of the French Canadians I had met, dislike America and what it stands for. I was absolutely put back, because I was unaware of blatant hatred for the U.S. So I ask, why didn't J.D. chose an American platform instead? I ask you all to e-mail J.D. the supposed American co. based in Moline, Illinois.. why they chose Bomb. If you live in the U.S. don't buy their A.T.V. this Oct. when it makes it's debut.

IMO I think they did it because bomb. was the only one that needed help or at least took it. if you ask someone about a bombardier ATV how many people do you know would say whay is that? everytime I say I have a bombardier traxter they ask me what is that...then I say ski-doo and then they understand...with the name of johndeer and the pulling power of a traxter they should do some good business with the farmers. just my .02 or 1/2 cents (canadian lol)

My name is Jason Bruns from Pincher Creek, Ab. Canada. I ask the same question. Why would a U.S. Company not use their own atv company Polaris. A slap in the face if you ask me. It was probaly all about money, cheap Canaidian color-back. Same as our "cheap" bombardier atv's. Don't get me wrong. Bombardier builds world renowned products. Trains, airplanes, ski-doo's, sea-doo's, atv's"not so good" It's not that they do not have a good atv. It's that the customer support is like our Prime Minister. A lame duck. My father bought a 2002 Quest 650 in oct/01 and I followed in feb/02. Problems: 1. Backfiring will driving and when shutting off(nice touch for hunting?) carburation problem, no company support(we don't know whats wrong) 2. Blows oil into air box(pcv seal wrong material) new seal done twice on warranty(new material also fails) 3. Tappet cover seal, spark plug tube seal fails(no support, we don't have a problem) when those seals fail, the coil dust seals expand twice their size, as they do not like oil on them. Then oil runs all over the ground, nice environmental feature on the last two! 4. Suspension is tuned about right for a 500 lb person(no support) Perfex Co. makes a long travel soft ride kit $150. rides like a dream. 5. They don't spot weld all of their nut, so half of them are falling off. I could carry on, but it would take a long time. We have bought ski-doo's since the sixty's, so naturally we tried their atv's. No More! One last little comment. My brother was the mechanic at a ski-doo dealer in the crowsnestpass. Opened in 2001. Burned down in 2003. totally insured, electrical fault. Bombardier did not even say they were sorry! They just took back their stock that was salvagable and made them pay out on the rest before the even got the isurance money. Then shut them down. Nice company? Good support? Not what I like to see johndeer get into. I hope this gets to somebody at johndeer to read. Not what I would call U.S.A. Quality.

Don't feel bad they also hate the rest of Canada too.
