I don't know who told you that the warrior is part utility but its not. There is nothing utility about it... Things that make a quad "utility" are independent 4 wheel suspension and 4wd... the warrior has neither. Its just not a very good motocross type 4 wheeler due to its poor weight distribution (it feels heavier than it is when riding it). If you plan on racing in organized races I don't know that I would suggest the warrior but I haven't heard alot of good things about the 300 ex either... I've never owned a 300 though. I used to have a warrior and my wife still does so I speak from experience about it.

if you really want a true mx quad get a blaster or a banshee they are very good mx quads but we don't know your riding experience but if like the honda you can get a 400ex they have many after market parts too make them real fast

If you eventually want to get into racing, then neither the 300EX nor the Warrior are going to be much good to you. You'll have to dump a lot of $$$ into either to be competitive .. the Blaster, from my understanding, is a much better choice if you plan to race. Cheap to buy, easy to mod .. blah blah .. with some simple add ons (pipe, jet, filter) you'll be beating warriors in top speed, and stock for stock you're probably already beating a 300EX. You just won't have reverse for any tricky trail riding .. I love my reverse

warrior or 300ex? warrior. faster. has reverse. and is proven bullet proof. my still ride my warrior and i own a tricked out Raptor.

Racing? neither. i might consider a warrior for a GNCC or hairscramble but not MX.

MX-ing? Blaster or 400ex. you could pick up either (used )cheap. and both respond well to mods when your ready to spend more money.

Hey kuz 28, the 300EX has reverse too, it's just the stupidest procedure ever invented to get to it though. Anyway, this has been brought up about 1,500 times and every time I say the same thing. The Warrior is better in everything except big jumps and wheelies. The Warrior's engine is placed a little bit forward so it makes it jump kind of nose heavy. The Warrior has more power, the same reliability, and really isn't that bad a jumper if you know how to do it, but the EX is still better in the air.

The sport/utility quad you're thinking of is the Yamaha Wolverine, not Warrior. =) Just to clear things up a little.

i think the warrior jumps awesome. For Mx i bet u could really mod both to meet MX standards but ive seen many warriors in hairscrambles and gncc. The warrior is def faster and has more power to get u ahead pretty early thats my opinion.
