Kasea 90 slide limiter
#1
Has anybody out there removed the slide limiter on their Kasea 90 to get the slide to open 100% for more power? I have rejetted already and when I did, I noticed it was not opening all the way. Has anyone done this versus buying the 20mm carb thats available. I only have a pipe and open element air filter currently. Has anybody used the Hi-rev CDI's that are available?

Yeah, I did it, and it's pretty easy. I'm not the most technical person to ask, but I will try to tell you how to do it.
Take the two screws out where the throttle cable enters the top of the carb, I had to loosten the carb intake clamp and turn carb sideways for better access. Pull the slide assembly out. Compress the return spring with one hand, and disconnect the cable from the carb slide, it's pretty self explanatory. Remove the brass bushing from the assembly. Reassemble in reverse order. Be sure that the carb slide goes back into the carb correctly, it will only go in one position. Check for proper throttle operation before starting. I have read of people starting them up, and throttle is stuck open. With an auto quad, that means YOU'RE MOVING!!! Might want to raise the rear wheels if you're not sure.
I didn't have to rejet, but it wouldn't hurt to do a plug check. Good luck!
Don't know much about the CDI, but I know people that do. Send me a PM and I'll tell you who to contact. What pipe and filter combo are you running? Have you done any clutch work? I have a list of things to do to ours, as soon as the factory warranty is expired!
