How do you adjust handle bars left or right?
#1
(Assuming nothing is actually bent) after I ended up with my YFZ on its side last weekend, the bars are cocked a little to the left... so that when the front wheels are straight the handle bars are turned a bit to the left.

Assuming nothing is bent, you can adjust the angle of your bars relative to the wheels by adjusting your tie rods. Realize, however, that you will have to reset your toe-in after adjusting your bars.

Thanks... although that just makes me want to take it in to the dealer to have them do it . Having never messed with this kind of adjustment before I'm a bit leery of doing it and would like to know it was done right. Too bad Ada is over an hour away... I'd just swallow my sooner pride and bug an aggie to help me

When you want something done right, you call an aggie.
It is a little tricky getting everything straight. Have you checked to make sure you didn't bend anything? You have to make sure to preserve your toe-in to keep from wearing unnecessarily on your tires and making for more an unstable steering track. As far as the mechanics go, its no big deal. Just turning the turn-buckle on the tie rods. I don't know how much a dealer would charge you. It would depend on each dealer.

EDIT: Hey, I've been gonna ask you, where did you come up with "DietCokeOfEvil"?

Well "Diet Coke of Evil" is actually from Austin Powers... "Just one calorie, not evil enough!" I think its from the first movie. I just kinda picked it up as a nickname from some friends because I always found it hard to get real nasty and bad tempered when I should have I guess... My wife wouldn't agree LOL.
