Shattered raptor clutch...
#1
I went to change my clutch today, and the back plate of my GYT-R was shattered to pieces. Thankfully all the pieces were still in the basket, some barely hanging in there. All the other plates are almost new, and look immaculate. can I just use all the other gyt-r plates, and put in one stock plate in place of the shattered one? Why did it shatter in the first place?

MINE DID THE SAME THING! My stock basket was cracked and a piece was broken off, too. I am guessing it is because it got to hot, don't know though.
Oh, and to blasterracer,
It's always the Rappy's cause they got so much torque!

YA, I HAD A FIBER BREAK ON ME . I WAS DRIVING MY BANSHEE AND DOING A BREAK BURN AND THE BIKE STALLED. TRIED TO KICK IT OVER AND THE KICK START WAS JAMMED. TOOK OF THE SIDE CASEING AND A PEICE OF METAL WAS JAMMED IN THE CRANK GEAR. TOOK OFF THE BASKET AND THE FIBER FELL ON THE GROUND INTO LIKE 7 PEICES. OH WELL NO MORE BREAK BURNS I GUESS ON THE PAVEMENT. HAHA NOT.

all rapy owners...
i was just joking around about the rapys always breaking
they have 2 major flaws:
CLUCH
TRANNY
i just have been seeing alot of rapys breaking but when u think about it they are the most popular in the past 3 years so a few breaking is no biggy
i thought my yfz had more torque than my old rapy wit pipes

Warning!..........I have been having ongoing problems with mine(rappy)..........I have heard that in instances such as when the clutches break apart(as mine did)..........debris can possibly clog up the screen in the oil pump...........ultimately resulting in inadequate oiling of the cam, particularly at higher rpm's.........................
