Aren't the big and small ports backward on a grizzley?

Do you mean the intake ports? The Griz and Rap utilize the same head...the Griz has a 2-into-1 intake and one carb.....this seems like a possibility for additional performance utilizing a single FCR. We talked about this a while back....I think Ward started the topic.

Yeah the intake ports. I think the left port on the grizzley feeds two valves and it's the right on the raptor. But I'm not possitive if that's the case.

I am sure it's the same as the Rap. The 2 outside ports feed the center valve. Which brings up the question as too why the Raptor neally needs offset jetting.

look for wards post a few weeks ago, Im am 90% sure he determined that the ports were backwards in relation to the raptor. He even made his own manifold so Im pretty sure its backwards.

Going by the picture on the parts finder it is backwards but maybe it could be turned up side down.

And both carbs do feed the center valve but the left carb is feeding it through about a 10mm hole and the right is feeding much more directly to the intake runner.

I still say the raptor needs offset jetting due to difference in intake tract length.

Yup the ports on the Griz are just opposite of the Rappy's.

I know where you can buy a 2/1 for the Rappy, only problem is that it cost $250.

Why in the world would they be opposite? Very interesting....apparantly more torque oriented? THanks for spreading the knowledge.
