Default Question about Raptor valve adjustment..

I checked my valves a few weeks ago, and the intakes were fairly tight.... so I adjusted
them to the high side of the tolerance and the bike ran great. My question is ... when I
was sizing the gap between the rocker arm and the valve, I noticed the gap was not a parallel
mating surface. When I had the feeler gauge in there, it was contacting on one point only, not
the whole surface. Is this typical ? Sorta like this :

Rocker --> | | <-- Valve would be parallel. Mine was Rocker --> / | <-- Valve

One side of either the valve or rocker, was beveled, and the gauge only contacted at the tip of one of the
flats. All 3 intakes were like this. I searched , but never found that info anywhere on these boards, so
I figured I would ask. Thanks for any reply. Everything runs great, just wasnt sure if this was a sign of wear
or normal.

Default Question about Raptor valve adjustment..

The bottom side of the adjuster that contacts the valve is rounded. Valve---> |( <---adjuster a little more like that.

Default Question about Raptor valve adjustment..

Thanks SixsixT ,

Thats probably what I was feeling. For some reason I had in my mind that it would be a flush mating surface, and
when it wasnt, I was like "mmm". Thanks for explaining, makes sense now.

Thanks again.
