Default Got my new tm45!!! Problems already!!! HELP!!!

Got my new tm45 this evening from RWR. I ordered the carb and alky kit. First thing I noticed was wrote on the receipt was "no main jet in carb". OK, no problem.

WRONG!!! I didn't get ANY main jets!!!! Not even in my "alky kit". It had 5 pilots, needle, tube, and new float needle. No main jets PERIOD!!!! I'm not sure but I don't think I recieved the pump activation parts that were supposed to come with it either.

I'm pretty sure I will need a 145-ish for race gas and a 230-ish for alky, what style main jets do they use??? Same as stocker???

I'm pretty disappointed, was looking forward to dirt draggin' tommorow night, hopefully will get parts rounded up in time!!!

I've already seen the small stock types are too small.

Do they use the large round style?

Large round - yes.
The small round of the stock carb also work fine as well, the threads are the same and I don't see why the outside dia. would effect anything. Even dynojet kits for carbs with large round come with small round - the only jet dynojet makes.

I'm just about ready to throw this POS TM45 garbage out the door... I've been working at it for for 6 hours straight since I got home from school today...with absolutely no FUKING suxess...

A little more and I would have been going to get the .300 Magnum from the gun locker....

I'm too pissed off right now to explain the details...I'll start a new thread with some pictures later... I don't know if I should give up and get a Lectron or go back to stock carb...

Geh.

Ooooops i grabbed a Dynojet from the wrong kit. I tried a small one that fits my 400 Foreman. Threads are much less diameter on them. Glad to hear the smalls will work. Thanks, HT.

Tyre,

That 46HV from the Eric in Kentucky sounds like a pretty sweet setup. I emailed Buttfungus about his & what he told me sounded really nice. Now all I need to do is strap together the cash. It sounds like there is a small amount of work to get the stock throttle to work with the 46HV, however I think it will be worth it. I'd love to get a decent amount of HP outta my machines with straight bolt ons. I figure with bolt on mods it keeps the value up since not only do I have the unmodified stock parts but I also have the aftermarket ones making the whole package worth more. I don't think I'll sell either of my DS' for a looooong time, however I like to keep my options open.

HT,

Part of the cool thing from Eric is that (I'm sure for a price) he will tune it before he sends it to you. I thought I heard that Lectrons were easier to tune since the metering rod was pretty much the only tunable part? The pre-tuning was included in the price which Buttfungus told me about, and that figure wasn't dirt cheap however I don't mind paying for someone who is knowledgeable in their field of work. It is easier to pay a high price and get excellent knowledge IMHO. I just like to make sure I'm getting excellent knowledge first.
