i'm looking at gettin an air scoop kit for my 400EX. the one that i've been looking at is called an "air scoop and louver kit" by OMF. i mostly ride dunes, is it worth it to get one? ne info is much appreciated. thanx.

 

i have scoops on my 400, they don't work that good, they really only work when i'm haulen down the flats(florece,or dunes) but, hay they look cool! go on ebay and look, thats where i got mine, i only paid $29!!!

Yep...he's right. They are mainly cosmetic. You do feel some air pushing through when you're riding wide open, so that means that yes they do help...but how much help do the do for you when you're going less than 30 MPH??? I like mine...I got them from PRM on their website ($42), but I'm pretty much convinced that for the most part they are just for looks.
