prairie 700 mod questions!!!!
#1
This is my first post. I have some questions on some mods that I may want to do. I am currently adding a HMF exhaust and rejetting. I may also add the DG snorkel. I am waiting on the DG holeshot module to arrive. I am trying to figure out what air filter to use and where to buy it. If anyone has information on this please let me know. I also was told that the unlimiter module would be out this month. The 700 has the power but I want more any suggestion is welcome.

Thats true, look for the Unlimiter module out within 4 weeks. As far as air filter goes if I had a P700 I would go with the K&N + Outerwears pre filter, providing they make one for it. If not then go with the Twin-Air. I have a Twin-Air on my 02 P650 because I didnt like the way the K&N fit and looked. I recently sold my 00 Kodiak and I had a clamp on K&N on it for over 3 years without and problems or loss of compression.
If you havent bought the Dyno Jet kit yet then dont. Just buy a 145 main jet from you dealer. Be sure and add the DG snorkel also or something equivilent.

i partly agree with KOD no offense just my opinion is to get hmf jets for 5bucks look at the list for the correct jetting with i think 145 which is what KOD said he knows more im just suggesting and i heard the twin air filter is better for dusty conditions so let that be a factor in deciding. im about to get a p700 and do the same mods as u get some pics or let us know how it goes hope i helped , not to insult your intelligence KOD. im anxious to get one and do the same mods as you , are u getting the full system bigpapa

RinconStomper, no offense taken whatsoever. You are correct though, bigpapa, if you havent already ordered your HMF be sure and just buy the jet they recommend. I talked with Kevin awhile back and he did say it was the same jet that you would get from the dealer. $5 is a good price and you get it at the same time.
As far as the air fiters go, I have heard that too about the dusty conditions. I really like my Twin-Air filter. Everyone says a K&N flows more air but could allow smaller dust particles to pass through,...I dont know because I never did a test on that. Personally I believe the performance difference would be minimal on the Prairies. One thing is for sure and that is the Twin air is twice as cheap as the K&N is. Still though, if I had money to burn I would probably go with the K&N on the P700.
BTW, Im not that intelligent,...if I was I wouldnt have let the ladder slip and fall and break up my heel bone.
