what is the top speed on the 500s? like 2000 and back? i know they are not made for speed, just want to know. and how do they compare to like a foreman 450?

 

35 40 they are a heavier bike than the hondas

 

More like 45, 50. The 99 manual being the faster, at least with ours anyway.

 

I have owned most of the bigger cats sinnce the first 454 of 1996 all of them standard transmissions. From 1996 t0 2002 they usually max out at close to 50 mph a little faster with bigger rubber downhill.The 2003 model I presently run is geared differently from the earlier models and will reach 59.6 mph on 26" rubber downhill as measured by my Lowrance 3000MT gps which I believe to be accurate. It is worth noting that the factory speedos rarely agree with the gps and tend to read fast. The Honda 450 1999 that my wife rides is a bit slower than 50mph on stock tires(thank god)

 

i hit 53 on mine the other day at least thats what the speedo said. but in reality maybe 45 46 mph.
