This is what someone said on a different site.

"QUOTE"
"My guy here in Las vegas just called me and said....

Fully Adjustable front and rear
Steel frame-alluminum subframe
39mm carb like YFZ
The pic we have all seen is the real quad, just with aftermarket stuff on it
Full on race quad from Honda (Remember the R in the 450R)

335LBS"
2004 Model avaliable near Christmas Not sure of date but in December."

If Honda put an old detuned motor in a old 400ex frame. Then I believe Honda has dropped the ball on this one. Yamaha may have finally won the battle.

Honda is basically taking 2 year old race technology and putting new plastic on it. Meaning how many people have already put 450crf's into a 400ex frame. Oh I say about couple hundred.

It's a new frame on this quad, it's not a 400ex frame.

Personally, as a desert rider I would prefer a 400EXish frame to a full bred MX/trail frame like the YFZ. With a few mods, the 250R/400EX frame is a good desert racer. I don't MX, and I already have a Z which is the ultimate trail bike, so a frame that would easily adapt to desert riding would be my preference. A 650EX is more than I hope for at this point.

All I am saying people are pissing there pants for a unit that was built over two years ago. Tell me the honda frame is better than a laeger or roll frame with the crf motor(now de-tuned). To my knowledge Mr. Gust was not riding a honda this year to win the pro-production. He was aboard a extremely fast suzuki.
