how the Fu@# do you get the intake manifold off, that upper bolt???

Yep the good ole round ended allen key will do the trick. It still may be a pain in the **** with it though, if the bolt is real tight. Be prepared for some possible frustration though. I thonk I used a set of vice grips to hold the allen key better. Carefull strip the screw and your really f'ed.

Don't want to strip the bolt head, use a ball end hex key and a cresent wrench on the short end to get leaverage, have a friend grab the intake and turn counter clockwise as you turn the hex key, easy?

Yep, I used a ball end allen wrench and crecent/vise grips. Hold your mouth just right, and she will come loose!

Yep, ball nose allen. I used a cressent just like everyone else. I did however put a lot of preasuer on the allen so it would not pop out while turning it.

I just put a bend in my allen wrench and I got it and out fine.

well guys, thanks for the help, tommarow ill head down to the hardware stores and look for a "ball end allen wrench", not sure what im looking for though, what does this thing look like, is it a long allen wrench with a pivot joint or something, or is it just a long allen wrench, rounded off at the end to kind of work into the bolt at an angle?... dont think ive see anything like that before?

go to sears they will have both types on the wall, you will see what we are talking about right away. buy a better quaility type, i broke one off once and it was a pain to get out. if you can find a snap-on truck buy one on a socket end so you can use it to torque a lot of things on the engine.
